Lucknow,the city of Tehzeeb !!!

Lucknow ,My home town is a city of  culture, tradition,soft spoken laguage ,courtesy,friendliness religious tolerance and harmony.  The city is called by various names like  The City of Parks and Gardens,the city of Nawabs, The city of  poets n poem.

I came lucknow at the age of 4 . Since then i am in love with my city...Today i want to tell you about my city, my home town , where  i have grown up.   Lucknow has a magical charm surrounding it. Whether  its delicious cuisine or its heart melting culture,both leaves an everlasting impression on its visitors. If you came to Lucknow and you  haven't tasted Tunde Kabab than you missed one of the biggest speciality of Lucknow for sure

It is one of the few places where one can still find people saying 'Aap', 'Janab', 'pehle aap', 'Hum' 'Bhaukaal','Jugaad','Ama', 'Dhaansu'  'Phod Dena' etc.

Its a nice here "Lucknow Ganjo ka shaher hai" now this statment you won't be able to understand if you are not a lucknowite :D The answer is Nishatganj, Hazratganj, Sahara ganj. 


Now it would be unfair here if i won't tell you the significance of Hazratganj  for Lucknowites. Hazaratganj  is a heart throb of lucknow.We can surely say here that Rome took lots of year to bulid but duplicate Rome (Hazaratganj) which has yellow black think was build within a month. The beauty of Lucknow can be seen in hazratganj.

Besides this lucknow has many funny names of its different areas like Bandook wali gali, Wireless chauraha, Honeymoon wali gali, bhootnath .

Its a place where only guy can tell you the importance of La Martiniere and It college :D   Dude I just want to clear here one thing that  its an " IT COLLEGE"  not IIT :D I still feel proud to be the student of IT College.IT Rockzzz. Its a belief in lucknowites that most ruined and "bigdail" gals are in IT College...  and the new  fashion  always comes first  in IT :D

Ya one very important warning , don't you dare to call any  girl of Lucknow behenji.. :D She'll surely kill you .There is one and only behenji in lucknow that is Su. Shri. Kumari Mayawati :P  The girl might take it an insult  :P 

Ya in modern lucknow you will be surily in love with Elephants :D They are  everywhere living or statued  

The awadh region has its own nawabi cuisines! I have seen people who were posted in Lucknow stick to their jobs for years, not taking promotions just digging their heels in so that they do not have to leave Lucknow. 

The famous  historic Rumi Darwaza, which was built in 1780s by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, was the most romantic place in lucknow during historical time. Not only Rumi Darwaza, Bada Imambada, Chota Imambada, Baradari,Residency.Bhool bhulaiya  all gives an idea of lucknow's mughal history.

Even if you have seen these structures from your childhood, the splendour of the entire area has an impact every time you pass by these marvels of architecture.


As you walk from Chowk towards the Bada Imambada, the sight of Husainabad Clock Tower or the Ghantaghar, which is the tallest clock tower in the country, strikes you.

Lucknow Chinkaari: Chikankari is an ancient form of white floral embroidery, done  with needle and raw thread. Its delicacy is mesmeric. In history, this fine white tracery on transparent white fabric has delighted the heart of king and commoner alike. It is a complex and elegant craft that has come down to us, evolving, over the years into an aesthetic form of great beauty.

Lucknowites still love to wear chikan clother and large part of the economy of lucknow is supported by chikan industry.

You know what i personally love in my city ? Its even girls are highly  educated  here, they have a sense of pride in them  but they still likes to wear salwar -suit in religious function . Its dosem't mean that there is any restriction in wearing jeans n all, but  they themselver prefer suit.. As it is a sign of simplicity :) except college life, lucknowites girls usually prefer decent clothes like salwar -suit, or kurti n jeans.

I am proud to be a lucknowian  girl....I truly love its culture and have a great respect for it.

Do we know the meaning of  friendship??? is it a relation of time pass ? is it a relation of sharing ? is it a relation of having fun? is it a relation of  caring each other? what is it....?????? no blood relation bt still sometimes more than   blood relations.... Sometimes u feel like ur having everything , ur the luckist among each n every person in this world as u have such a lovely frndz...

What to say abt my frndzz....  i have lots n lots of thing in my mind but still seems difficult to pen down all my thoughts here... 

 i feel myself very lucky that since childhood i was the richest gal  not in wealth but surely in friendship.Me and my childhood buddy, my luv , my bacha, my bestu anuja are completing  12 year together... i still dont remeber exactly that wen we have started our friendship?  May be  be some day in class 8th ...still remember those day when we  both come to school with 2 ponies , short skirt :P  big bag with lots of book.... :D  those sport period in school when we use to do skipping n u  used laugh at me n say kaise jump karti hai >>> :D  skipping nahi krni aati :D  n still  then also i used to skip :P  don't know when school ended  and we went to IT college together... Do u remember how we took the admission ? uncle with u , my mom with me. :D choti c shop pe jake coldrink peena samosa khana, then after taking admission , first day in college... i hate that 12 class  starting days....  mera man hi  nahi lgta tha college mai, jahan dekho wahan ladkiyan , i dont how year n year n year passed  and our bond remained strong .

Many people came and went away, bt we were alwz for each other .... i feel so blessed for haiving a besti like u in my life who accepted me the way I am... i m not sure that where will be in coming year, bt i can surily say that, mrinal kahin bhi rahe, kuch bhi kare, uski life mai koi bhi aaye, koi bhi jaye, wo tmhari besti  hamesha rahegi, till the end of my life :D  sowwie senti marna zaruri tha  :P But iska matlab ye nahi ki i luv you :P i dont luv u... iCE CREAM KHILAO FIR BOLENGE I LUV U :p   isshhtupid Girl :P Bhindi kahin ki :D
